Bill will better protect affected communities, House assured


SARAWAK’S biological resources will be better protected and developed to benefit the state and affected communities following the passing of the Sarawak Biodiversity Centre (Amendment) Bill.

Second Resource Planning and Environment Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said the Bill provided for prior informed consent from native communities for access to their traditional knowledge of biological resources.
