The 30-man volunteer patrol, in their new hi-viz vests and red caps to identify them as the village patrol, are to observe and report any untoward incidents to the Seri Setia New Village JKKK and police.
A total of 30 volunteers have signed up to conduct nightly patrols around SS9A Seri Setia New Village.
According to the Seri Setia New Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) chairman Ding Eow Chai, the initiative had been proposed by committee member Mohd Rashid Bani.
