One active expat

Lauren Elizabeth Wilson says that teenagers are her 'favourite kind of people' and she treats them like her own children. She also coaches students for the Toastmasters Club in her college, where she is the principal.

LAUREN Elizabeth Wilson’s active lifestyle would put most younger people to shame. The 57-year-old expatriate from a small town near Ottawa, Canada has climbed Mt Kinabalu and is also an avid runner.

“I recently ran a 10km race with my students at a competition with other colleges and we came in first,” said Wilson, who is also staff adviser for her college’s running club and is into Zumba and yoga.
