South Korea still a key log export market for Sarawak


KUCHING: Despite the imposition of anti-dumping duties on Sarawak’s eight major plywood suppliers, South Korea remains as the state’s second single largest export market.

Export figures from Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) showed that South Korea purchased 266,141 cu m of panel products worth RM367.2mil last year, representing more than 10% of Sarawak’s total export of 2.58 million cu m valued at RM4bil.
