Disaster committee formed, illegal dumping of chemical debris under probe

KUCHING: The authorities are not taking lightly the dumping of tonnes of debris from the fertiliser factory that exploded and went up in smoke on March 14 in Serian town, about 65km from here.

A visit yesterday saw several officers of the Department of Environment (DOE) going through the site where the ashes and rubbles of the burnt factory had been buried.
