THE plan to close three streets to traffic around Menara MBPJ, Section 52 in PJ New Town from June 17 is to allow pedestrians to move freely, said Petaling Jaya mayor Datin Paduka Alinah Ahmad.
The PJ New Town commercial area should be a pedestrian mall where people can walk, cycle or even rollerblade safely, she added.
