Twenty-two to go bald to raise funds for underprivileged families

WHEN it comes to helping out a worthy cause, the folks at Waikiki have always tried to go the extra mile, and last year the outlet kicked off its first Bald & Beautiful event, with 27 volunteers, including musicians, celebrities and even children, going bald to raise funds for poor families whose children are undergoing cancer treatment.

Last year’s event managed to raise RM105,000 and 21 poor families received cash donations of RM5,000 each.
