Desaru, Pengerang and Sungai Rengit favourite entry points for illegal Indonesians

JOHOR BARU: Desaru, Pengerang and Sungai Rengit in the Kota Tinggi district of Johor’s east coast area remain the three main hot spots for illegal Indonesian immigrants to sneak into the country.

Bukit Aman marine police commander senior assistant commissioner Datuk Abdul Aziz Yusof said that the three areas’ close proximity with Batam Island in Indonesia was the main reason why they chose to land on the east coast of Johor.
