Tangs signs up tenancy agreement with shopping paradise The Shore


MALACCA: The state’s latest shopping paradise - The Shore - has signed a tenancy agreement with Tangs Malaysia to debut its Fashion Lifestyle Store in the Historic City.

At the signing ceremony recently, the Shore was represented by its CEO Tee Eng Ho while Tangs Malaysia was also represented by its CEO James Loke.

The ceremony was witnessed by deputy Exco of Tourism, Coastal Development, Rivers and Islands, Datuk Ghazale Muhamad.

As the anchor tenant of The Shore, Tangs Malacca is expected to open its doors to the public this year.

Tangs Malacca will feature a wide selection of lifestyle apparel for men and women, footwear, accessories with a diverse selection of International brands.

Other merchandise includes cosmetics and fragrances, home, travel and other items.

Tangs has been at the forefront of fashion and contemporary lifestyle retail since the opening of its first store in Singapore in 1932.

Tangs today has two stores in Singapore, the iconic Tangs Orchard and Tangs Vivo City.

There are also three stores in Malaysia, Tangs One Utama, Tangs Empire Subang and Tangs Genting Highlands.

Tangs evolved from the traditional “departmental store” concept by introducing a unique retail experience with creative store design, merchandising concepts, experiential shopping ambience and personalised service.

The Tangs stores are lifestyle concept stores which feature various concepts and brands to cater to a gamut of customers’ tastes and preferences.

The stores provide the ultimate retail indulgence with merchandise sourced globally according to international trends to meet the multi-faceted needs of discerning shoppers.

The Shore, meanwhile is strategically located in the histroic city’s prime central business and tourist district.

It is a mere 15 minutes walk from the famous, vibrant Jonker Street and surrounded by the city’s historical heritage sites.

The mall is part of a mixed development consisting of, among others, service apartments and a Four-Star Hotel to be managed by Swiss Garden International Hotels.

The Shore will be seen as a one-stop tourist destination and a family lifestyle leisure centre for all age groups.

With a full blown tourist product such as the World’s Longest Aquarium, Malacca Oceanarium, The Pinnacle viewing deck, the jetty of Malacca River Cruise, the Hang Tuah Monorail Station and a wide array of hi-street fashion brands, The Shore is all set to become the most preferred location in Malacca.
