TIFFANY & Co is lending its sparklers to the upcoming SapuraKencana Petroleum Malaysia Grand Prix Gala & Concert that is happening on March 27 in a luxurious marquee tent at Plaza Petronas KLCC.
As the official jeweller of the glamorous event, Tiffany & Co. will be presenting an exquisite collection of legendary diamonds and the rarest gemstones to more than 500 notable guests.
It will be a dazzling night of breathtaking appeal as Tiffany & Co. creates a larger-than-life Tiffany Blue Box at the entrance of the event’s posh marquee, transporting guests to the glamorous world of the jewellery brand.
The entrance is inspired by the Blue Book Ball, which was held in 2013 in New York City, where an impressive Blue Box was placed at the famous Rockefeller Center.
For the exclusive gala dinner and
concert, the Petronas Twin Towers will provide the perfect backdrop for the iconic Tiffany Blue Box.
Tiffany & Co. senior vice-president for Asia and Japan Stephane Lafay said to mark the occasion, the jeweller will be showcasing some of its most spectacular jewellery, particularly the Yellow Diamond designs.
“It will be the first time that some of these legendary designs will be on display in Malaysia,” he said in an email interview with StarMetro.
Guests of the gala dinner can expect stunning gemstones and brilliant diamonds in magnificently handcrafted settings and timeless designs, including the celebrated Jean Schlumberger collection.
Tiffany & Co. will be presenting a jewellery show as part of the event’s formal proceedings, showcasing morer than 70 designs.
“The collection we have specially curated for this illustrious occasion is collectively valued at over US$16mil (RM52.5mil),” said Lafay.
One of the jewellery pieces that will make an appearance is the stunning Yellow and White Diamond Cascade necklace, totalling 42.0 carats that alternate with white diamonds.
Guests will be dazzled by the Cobblestone Yellow Diamond Bracelet with 59 oval, marquise, pear-shaped and cushion-cut fancy intense Tiffany Yellow Diamonds combined with white diamonds to total over 100 carats — the piece is priced at a whopping RM4,647,500.
After the jewellery show, guests will be entertained by Canadian music legend David Foster, who will be performing with American Idol Season Two winner Ruben Studdard.
Top Malaysian vocal artistes Datuk Siti Nurhaliza, Vince Chong, Cheryl K, Elvira Arul and Juwita Suwito will also be joining him on stage.
The concert will be open to the public so the performances can be viewed from the four LED screens that will be set up around KLCC.
In addition to the performances and jewellery show, guests of the gala dinner and concert will be presented with door gifts.
The men will be bringing home a lavish skincare Elite Collection set from REX Skin Care, an American men’s grooming line, which consists of Instant Impact Gel, Matte Finish Serum and Vitamin C moisturiser presented in a vintage cigar gift box.
The ladies will be gifted with the REX 365 sunscreen, All Over You moisturising hair and body shampoo and Bring on the Heat thermal activated facial scrub, also from the same skincare line.
The gala event is a tradition since the race was first held here in 1999.
It is a platform to welcome the F1 fraternity to Kuala Lumpur and to mark the beginning of the race weekend.
The Sepang International Circuit is the presenting sponsor of the event with SapuraKencana Petroleum being the title sponsor for the gala.
The Tourism and Culture Ministry is the main sponsor of the gala dinner with Dialog Group Berhad as the support sponsor.
Co-sponsors include Petronas as the venue sponsor, Shangri-La Hotel and Mercedes Benz.
