Police thwarts syndicate luring students for a place in university


MALACCA: A syndicate that has been milking money from post Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) students by offering them fake admission to a university has been thwarted following a cross-state police crackdown.

Three men and five women, all locals and aged between 24 and 38 had been arrested when a team of officers from Bukit Aman raided an office in Medan Perniagaan Senawang Jaya in Seremban on Tuesday evening while they were busy processing paperwork believed to be students’ records.
