SIBU: Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) has stepped up its campaign against errant motorists who continue to park indiscriminately in areas under its jurisdiction.
Its deputy chairman Datuk Wong Kee Yew said effective today motorists found parking their vehicles on the road verge would have to pay a higher compound fee of RM100 instead of the usual RM50.
