THE first Kuala Lumpur International Hijab Fair (KLIHF) 2014 is set to take place from June 13 to 15 at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
KLIHF 2014 will bring designers, brands, retailers, wholesalers, as well as textile, fabric and accessories suppliers and all things related to Muslimah fashion under one roof.
Throughout the three days, KLIHF 2014 will showcase upcoming Muslimah collections and trends in an exhibition space for over 250 participating booths spanning an area of 4,500sq m, with the aim of becoming the premiere Muslimah international trade fair.
WOJ Wealth Sdn Bhd is the organiser and its managing director Mona Din said Muslimah fashion has been growing at a phenomenal rate.
“It is indeed an exciting time for us and we plan to share and impart knowledge on Muslimah fashion via this exhibition.
“We aim to be the first and largest Muslim fashion fair in Malaysia, and provide avenues for all exhibitors and participants as well as visitors to network and gain knowledge on the Muslimah fashion industry.”
With the support of government agencies, as well as local and international business entities, the organisers hope KLIHF will be able to stamp the country‘s name on the international map as a Muslimah Fashion Hub.
To-date, the organising team has identified 13 countries to participate in the trade fair and its programmes.
One of the programme highlights is the Icon Ukhuwah International Search Competition to find the most well-rounded international Muslimah, especially in terms of a Syariah-compliant lifestyle and who is involved in community work.
Other programmes include the Fabulous Innovation Hijab Showcase, Penghijrahan Selebriti and Business Forum on Conquering Muslimah Fashion Industry. The finale of the three-day fair is the She Who Believes Gala Dinner.
