Celebrate Valentine's and Chap Goh Meh with Red Tomato

Hands Percussion will be in action at the event on Feb 14.

JOIN in the fun of Chinese New Year celebrations on Feb 14 at Setia Walk Puchong.

Red Tomato Weekly, in collaboration with its social media partner WeChat, and Lunch Actually are organising a fun-filled event for the family in conjunction with Chap Goh Meh, known as Chinese Valentine’s Day, that coincidentally happens to be Valentine’s Day in the Gregorian calendar.

This happens every 19 years.

Groups such as Hands Percussion Malaysia will be present to entertain the crowd.

The cast from the movies Bullets Over Petaling Street and Fantasia will also be on hand to meet-and-greet their fans.

Among the stars who will be there are Debbie Goh, Berg Lee, William San, Miau Miau, Cathryn Lee, Dennis Lau, Billy Ng, and Freddie Wong.

Another highlight will be the tangerine toss, a traditional method of match-making in Chinese culture. This time around, it will be enhanced by the integration of new technology courtesy of WeChat.

There will be lots of prizes up for grabs and two lucky couples will win air tickets to Laos and Chiangmai, sponsored by Air Asia. Four Sony Xperia S tablets are also on the list of prizes.

Entry to the event is free and the first 100 people who register via WeChat will receive a mystery gift and get the chance to have their wishes appear on the sky lantern.

To register, follow RedTomatoMY on WeChat and send in your full name, MyKad number, mobile phone number and the wishes.
