All in the family celebration for Hokkien folk

MALACCA: The Hokkien community here celebrated their most significant event of the year, the Jade Emperor’s birthday better known as “Thnee Kong Sey” last Friday which falls on the ninth day of the Chinese New Year.

Entrepreneur Ng Guan Cheng, who has been celebrating the tradition closely almost without a miss, held a grand feast at his residence on the eve of the deity’s birthday.
