MGS to hold consecration ceremony of temple


MALACCA: Malacca Gujarati Samaj Society (MGS) will be holding the auspicious Parn Pratishta Mahotsav or consecration ceremony of the Shri Ambaji Temple, the only Hindu temple dedicated Goddess Durga in South-East Asia that is owned and managed by Gujarati community here.

The temple saw a major facelift in early 2013 and the management has also brought in a priest from Northern India to conduct daily prayers for the Hindu devotees in the area.
