JOHOR BARU: A Singaporean catering manager was slapped with a fine of RM5,000 after he drove through the immigration checkpoint at the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar here without validating his passport.
Liyu Seck Hsing, 42, had claimed that he did not stop at the checkpoint as he had a Malaysia Automated Clearance System (MACS) sticker and was informed by a friend that he need not stop if he had it.
