Abolish excise duties and APs, suggests Bukit Saban PKR chief

KUCHING: The Government should restructure its automotive policy by abolishing excise duties and Approved Permits (APs) so that the people will not be burdened with high car prices.

Making this call, Bukit Saban PKR chairman Noel Bucking Changgai said the National Automotive Policy (NAP) 2014 announced on Monday was a disappointment as it did not include a timeline to end the AP system.
