KUCHING: Food premises will now be compounded under the Food Hygiene Regulations 2009 if they do not comply with its requirements of hygiene and cleanliness.
According to senior assistant environmental health officer Sabri Sahari, full enforcement of the regulations came into effect on Jan 1 and the Kuching divisional health office began issuing compounds yesterday.
