Villagers lodge police report over bribe claims


MIRI: A group of villagers from an ulu Baram settlement lodged a police report against what they claimed to be attempts to bribe them with cash as inducement to get them to support the construction of the Baram hydroelectic dam.

Muat Lenjau, community elder of Long Makabar, yesterday lodged the report at the Miri Central police station.
