Mosquitoes breeding sites must be cleared to fight dengue menace


ABANDONED buildings turned into illegal dumpsites, stagnant pools of water, clogged drains and areas with dense undergrowth are among the possible breeding grounds for Aedes mosquitoes.

A check by The Star discovered many such places exist but sadly no action have been taken by the local authorities or land owners to overcome the problem.
