State police in need of more manpower


MALACCA: Malacca police have requested Bukit Aman to look into increasing the current manpower here following the bludgeoning number of tourists visiting the historic city.

State police chief, Deputy Commissioner of Police Datuk Chuah Ghee Lye said the state has 2,400 personnel on duty, but this was still inadequate when it comes to safeguarding the safety of the tourists.
