KUCHING: Although no severe flooding is expected in the state this year based on the weather forecast, the State Disaster Relief Committee is not taking anything for granted.
Welfare, Women and Family Development Minister Datuk Fatimah Abdullah said so far there had been no reports of major floods in the state, only flash floods in areas like Miri and Baram which did not require evacuation.
