Students plant mangrove saplings to strengthen shoreline

A group of 150 volunteers planted 2,000 rhizophora mucronata (Bakau Kurap) saplings under the Friends of Mangrove programme at Pulau Klang Forest Reserve recently.

The programme, organised by the Institute of Foresters Malaysia (IRIM), has actively formed a special task force in planting mangrove saplings and other trees along coastal areas.
