KUCHING: Sarawak Oil Palms Bhd (SOP) may call off a joint-venture (JV) project to develop native customary rights (NCR) land in Sungai Arang, Bakong, Baram in Miri Division unless a targeted landbank could be created in six months.
The plantation company, in its latest quarterly results announcement, said the deadline to proceed with the project would be before June 30 next year. However, SOP has yet to announce the ideal landbank size suitable for the project to take off.
