SIBU: One of the oldest social clubs here, the Sibu Recreation Club (SRC) is on the verge of having its property taken over by the local authority, and subsequently auctioned off to recover the huge arrears in assessment rate.
The club house once sat on a prime piece of land in Jalan Sanyan before its relocation to the present site in Jalan Perpaduan in 1998 to allow for the construction of the 28-storey Wisma Sanyan.
