HUNDREDS of people came out to pledge their support for the Malaysian SEA Games contingent that will be competing in Myanmar next month.
They took part in Milo’s Flame of Energy torch run organised by Milo at Dataran Kampar on Nov 16.
Many fun games were also held.
Milo sports marketing manager Ng Ping Loong said they were collecting pledges from the participants to show their support for the Malaysian contingent, with each completed kilometre of their run to be converted into units of energy to “fuel” the flame of the torch.
“We aim to empower and energise young sports talents to strive for success in the early stages of their lives as well as to inspire parents to encourage their children to participate in sports from young,” Ng said.
“Through the Flame of Energy initiative, we want to rally the nation around to collect at least 2.7 million pledges as a form of encouragement to fuel the spirits of our Malaysian athletes,” he added.
Malaysians can also show their support by lighting up the virtual torch on Milo’s official website or extend their well wishes through Twitter, Facebook or Instagram by using the official hashtag #MILOforMALAYSIA.
