BATU PAHAT: All government departments and non-governmental organisations are prepared for flood rescue and relief operations in Batu Pahat. The district has always been one of the worst hit areas during the year-end monsoon season.
Civil Defense Department district officer Mohd Shahrizan Aziz said his team, comprising 350 personnel, are on standby since early October, one month earlier than last year.
