THIS week we feature three free apps for Android that will keep you and your kids occupied indoors (since it is raining almost every day).
This is a new photo slideshow/photo frame app, which is quite nifty if you want to show off your favourite pictures.
Consider it a digital picture frame that is also a combination of a screensaver, interactive slideshow and photo browser, which displays your photos when your device is not in use. This obviously works best on a tablet.
You can browse and share photos between Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Google+, Dropbox, Flickr, Twitter and 500px.
Dayframe is a good app for re-purposing old tablets. You can set it up anywhere in your house when you want a powerful photo frame that doubles as a web browser, remote control and shareable device.
The school holidays are here and this is one app that will help parents keep the small ones occupied.
Each drawing lesson has between 11 and 26 steps and is quite easy to follow.
It has 60 drawing tutorials for cartoon characters and an on-screen draw mode where you can follow each line step-by-step.
The editor tools include pencil, eraser, undo and redo, colour tool, zoom and pan.
The catchy title of this game got me. It is fun and very addictive.
In this game, you must manoeuvre around other runners, obstacles, and sheep falling from the sky as you chase down the swindling Hermes. You can also collect coins to spend in the shop and upgrade your gear or buy fashionable and powerful hats.
The comic theme and voiceovers are funny and entertaining. The graphics are quite good and the interface user-friendly too.
