Sarawak edges closer to target of one million hectares of totally protected areas

KUCHING: Some 20 new national parks and nature reserves are in the pipeline, bringing the state close to its target of one million hectares of totally protected areas.

Special Functions Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem said he recently proposed to the state Cabinet the creation of nearly 20 more national parks and nature reserves.
