SEEING a decline in its hard disk drive (HDD) component business, MQ Technology Bhd, a local company in the high-precision tooling HDD industry, is diversifying into the aerospace business, with plans to make it the only Penang-based company with the technological capability to make parts and components for aircraft.
MQ Technology plans to start production of small components used in private jets by the middle of next year for Jetline International (M) Sdn Bhd, a local company licensed by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry to design, manufacture, and assemble aircraft and aircraft parts.
