Baram dam site under siege

MIRI: A Barisan Nasional politician has called for a temporary halt to ground tests and survey work at the proposed Baram hydroelectric dam site because of escalating protests and blockades.

Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau, who is Baram Barisan Youth chief, told The Star here that he had issued the “temporary halt” advice because the situation was “very hot” on the ground.
