DEEPAVALI, the festival of lights, is fast approaching but for the residents of Taman Permata in Dengkil, there is no joyous celebration to look forward to.

The residents of the low-cost flats have been living in tents put up at the carpark area since early June, after a sinkhole appeared and the Sepang Municipal Council (MPSp) declared the units unsafe for occupation.
