Governor and MB in historical Malacca play

A re-enactment of the state’s rich history during the reign of Sultan Mansur Shah was the highlight of a gala dinner hosted by the Malacca Government along the historic riverbank in Jalan Quayside at the close of the United Nations World Tourism Conference (UNWTC) here recently.

What made it more memorable was that Governor Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakub and Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron were two of the main characters in the short play depicting how Princess Hang Li Po from China was sent to marry Sultan Mansor Shah, to seal relations between the two sovereigns.
