MALACCA: A re-enactment of the state’s rich history during the reign of Sultan Mansur Shah was the highlight of a gala dinner hosted by the Malacca Government along the historic riverbank in Jalan Quayside at the close of the United Nations World Tourism Conference (UNWTC) here on Monday night.
What made it more memorable was that Governor Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakub and Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron were two of the main characters in the short play which depicted how Princess Hang Li Po from China was sent to be married to Sultan Mansor Shah, to seal relations between the two countries.
