SIBU: Effective Jan 1, 2014, polystyrene food and drink containers are banned from Sibu Municipal Council’s (SMC) areas of jurisdiction.
This was made known by SMC chairman Datuk Tiong Thai King after the launch of the “Say no to Styrofoam” campaign.
