MOST parents find it a challenge to get their children to drink enough water in a day.
With this in mind, Bros introduced a drink water mascot Ban Ban last year to encourage children to drink water. Since its first appearance in October last year, Ban Ban has helped instil the habit of drinking enough water daily to about 3,500 children.
In its latest visit to the Real Kids kindergarten in Puchong Jaya, the Ban Ban Drinks Water programme had children excitedly wanting to drink water.
Other than Ban Ban, the programme featured story-telling, sing-along, dance, interactive quiz to teach children about the goodness of water, staying hydrated and ways to keep their water bottles clean.
There was also a free straw and cap replacement for all Bros users.
“We hope that a mascot and activities that appeal to children will act as easy reminders to drink water,” said business development director of Bros-Living Wing Sdn Bhd Terence Lee.
So far, Bros has brought Ban Ban Drinks Water to kindergartens such as REAL Kids, Yu Der Kindergarten, Taska Subuh and Smart Reader Kids and plans to spread the message further.
“Every child needs to know the importance of drinking water daily. Making this learning process creative and interesting will encourage more children to drink water every day,’’ said Smart Reader Worldwide Sdn Bhd group executive director Datuk Dr KH Wang.
“Children are often tempted by the unhealthy choices in the market nowadays such as carbonated beverages. Hence, it is important for parents and teachers to instil the practice of drinking enough water due to its many health benefits,” said deputy general manger of Real Kids, Rachel Leow.
