MIRI: The highly anticipated Asia Music Festival kicks off today at Eastwood Valley Golf and Country Club here.
Spread over two days, the inaugural event features 30 bands from seven countries namely South Korea, Philippines, Indonesia, India, Brunei, Thailand and Malaysia.
The bands are Bembol Rockers (Philippines), VSTAR featuring Kamal Musallam (South Korea), Anthony Dassan Yen Party Band (South India), Tritha (North India), Orkesh Soesah Tideor and Foxy Girls (Indonesia), Boy Thai Band (Thailand) and Fakhrul Razi (Brunei).
Among the Malaysians who will be performing are Melissa Francis, Starlet Band, The Mountain Wind Band, Hevance Band and Bob of Akademi Fantasia fame.
Miri City Council has lined up a variety of events such as a big bikers show, tattoo exhibition, photography exhibition as well as handicraft booths.
Entry tickets are priced at RM30 for adults and RM15 for children aged between three and 18.
