EARLIER this year, a very bullish Frost & Sullivan report said the Malaysian logistics industry is expected to grow 9.5% to RM139.7bil this year compared with an estimated RM127.7bil a year ago, due to strong sustainable economic growth in the country and strong intra-Asian trade, despite the uncertainglobal economy.

In its report, Frost & Sullivan transportation and logistics practice global vice-president R. Gopal said external trade for Malaysia remains resilient and is expected to increase 6.5% to RM1.42tril this year, compared with RM1.34tril last year.
