RM12mil spent to repair faulty lifts at PPRs

KUALA LUMPUR City Hall (DBKL) has spent RM12mil to replace, repair and maintain over 500 lifts in People’s Housing Project (PPR) and other locations throughout the city this year, an increase of RM3mil from 2012.

Mayor Datuk Seri Ahmad Phesal Talib said the amount was excessive and to address the issue, reliable brands might be used to ensure fewer lift breakdowns and lower repair costs.
