Lantern-making contest sees some great ideas by schoolchildren


SEVENTEEN-year-old Chan Shu Hui enjoys making lanterns to play with her friends but finding the right design can take a lot of time.

The SMJK Chong Hwa student, who took part in the annual lantern-making contest organised by the Wangsa Walk Mall, said she eventually took her mother’s idea to incorporate groundnut and pistachio shells in her lantern.
