No Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement for Malaysia just yet

KUCHING: Human Resources Minister Datuk Richard Riot said the Government would not sign the controversial Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) “in the near future”.

“It has been discussed by the Cabinet no fewer than five times. As of the last meeting on Wednesday, the Government has agreed it is not going to rush the possible implementation of TPPA,” Riot told reporters yesterday, adding that the Government would take into consideration more views not only from its agencies but also from the private sector.
