Literary body says Malay literature not popular now


KUCHING: The Malay literature is suffering from the challenges of the 21st century, according to the Federation of National Writers Associations of Malaysia (Gapena) .

“These are difficult times for Malay literature, be it novels, poetry and the likes,” federation chief Prof Datuk Wira Dr Abdul Latiff Abu Bakar said at the opening of the 16th National Literature Day here on Friday.
