PONTIAN: Bank Rakyat’s Ar-Rahnu Islamic pawn-broking service has been well received and for the first seven months of this year, a total of RM639mil has been given out as loans.
Its managing director Datuk Mustafha Abd Razak said so far, the bank had given out a total of RM1.7bil in such loans.
