MIRI: Owners of native customary rights (NCR) land should be consulted properly by any party, including the government, when the status of their land is to be changed.
On Wednesday, The Star carried a report on the plight of more than 200 dwellers of 14 longhouses along Kakus River in Bintulu, who were upset when they found out that their farmland covering an area of about 18,000ha had been gazetted as part of Bukit Sarang National Park.
