SIBU: A group of 15 headmen from the Sungai Asap-Koyan resettlement area in Belaga handed a memorandum to the Forestry Department, objecting to the state government’s intention to acquire the 18 islands inside the Bakun dam reservoir and gazette them as national parks.
The group also demonstrated peacefully at Wisma Sanyan yesterday to highlight their cause.
