Fire breaks out in factory near second Penang bridge

THICK smoke could be seen from as far as the Penang Bridge when a fire broke out in front of an automotive lighting factory in Batu Maung, Penang, some 11.5km away.

The factory is about 2km away from the area where a section of the flyover ramp to the second Penang bridge had collapsed on June 6, killing former policeman Tajudin Zainal Abidin, 45.
