JOHOR BARU: The appointment of councillors in the 16 local authorities in the state should be done based on their capabilities and abilities to serve the people.
Johor’s Ruler Sultan Ibrahim ibni Sultan Iskandar said the councillors should not be appointed just because they held positions in political parties.
