KUCHING: Movie fans take heed. Golden Screen Cinemas has various freebies up for grabs with the release of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.
An action-adventure fantasy film based on the worldwide bestselling book series written by Cassandra Clare, the story takes place in an urban and contemporary New York City, as a seemingly ordinary teenager Clary Fray (Lily Collins) discovers that she is the descendant of a line of shadow hunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect the world from demons.
After the disappearance of her mother, Clary must join forces with a group of shadow hunters, who introduce her to a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld, filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and other deadly creatures.
In conjunction with the movie release, Golden Screen Cinemas Sdn Bhd (GSC) is rewarding movie patrons with a free limited edition “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” notepad with every purchase of GSC Combo 3 at GSC cinemas nationwide or a Large Signature Combo 1 at GSC Signature.
There’s more than meets the eye with this notepad, as it also comes with a set of two temporary tattoos of the shadow hunter runes together with a bookmark.
The promotion will start from Aug 8 onwards, while stocks last.
GSC is also collaborating with HOPE worldwide Malaysia for a donation drive (2013) to fund community projects for the underprivileged.
With every RM15 donated, GSC will offer a complimentary ticket to a special screening of the blockbuster movie on Aug 24 at 10.30am in selected 15 GSC cinemas nationwide.
