SIBU: The five persons charged under Section 148 of the Penal Code read together with Section 34 of the same code, for assaulting a 25-year-old man seeking medical treatment at Sibu Hospital, have been discharged but not acquitted.
Magistrate Atiqah Abdul Karim discharged the five yesterday when the victim, the complainant and some of the witnesses failed to turn up in court.
